Oman based Muscat Printing Press has invested in the digital press from Xerox, the Versant 80, earlier this year, purchased from Xerox’s agent in Oman - Bishara Establishment. 

The Versant  can print on coated, uncoated, tabs, envelops, polyester/synthetic, textured, coloured, custom media and mixed-stock printing media.

Al Suwaidi Paper to establish its new factory in 2nd half of 2016

Established in 2001, Al Suwaidi Paper factory is the first paper manufacturing unit established in Qatar to manufacture Kraft paper and board  from recycled waste paper.  They have been exporting paper into the UAE since the last 14 years, exporting about 500 metric tonnes of 0.7 mm unbleached paper.  The manufacturers will be launching its second paper machine with a capacity to produce 80,000 tonnes of core board per anum (amounting to 250 tonnes a day).

35,000 fake printer ink cartridges seized by authorities in Riyadh

A total of 35,000 fake printer ink cartridges have been seized by the Ministry of Commerce in Riyadh, KSA, local media reported.

The authorities during the raids seized more than 5,000 packs of fake ink cartridges. Over 4,000 empty ink cartridges were about to be refilled, the paper said, adding that nearly 8,000 labels carrying HP trade marks were also confiscated. More than 25,000 packs, carrying HP and Canon brands, were seized.

Bottles and cans of alcohol sold in Turkey must soon bear warnings similar to those on cigarette packages, including the phrase "Alcohol is not your friend." Companies have 10 months to comply with the regulations, which were released last month.
