Xaar sets sights on strategic investment

Xaar has canned its final dividend and posted a near-£15m loss after an annus horribilis for the business, with CEO Doug Edwards looking ahead to better times and aiming to sign up a strategic investor for its thin film printhead this year.
The impact of the serious decline in its legacy business for the ceramics market was writ large across the results for 2018, with group sales down 37% at £63.5m. The company posted a bottom line loss of £14.9m compared to the prior year’s pre-tax profit of £12.3m.

Asahi Photoproducts has launched the AFP-BFTH plate in the first half of 2019, an out-of-the-box built-in flat top plate in the market that features premium clean transfer technology, which is designed to facilitate kiss touch printing pressure. This new plate, available in hard, fits seamlessly into any workflow and requires no special equipment.

Fujifilm adds LED curing to Acuity flatbed range

Fujifilm will introduce LED curing technology to its Acuity range of flatbed printers with the upcoming release of the new Acuity LED 40.

Set for release in the first quarter of 2019, the new machine will be available at the same mid-market price point as its counterparts in the Acuity 20 and Acuity 30 series.

    The first ever 3D printing conference cum exhibition ‘3D Print UAE’ took place on 17th and 18th August 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE which attracted a number of like-minded 3D Printing professionals from over 40 nations.

    3D Print UAE exhibition cum conference is a concept aimed at providing a broad scale platform for the manufacturing sector and consumer world across the ME region. 

    3D Print UAE gave an opportunity for the additive manufacturing experts from across the globe to converge on this regional platform to showcase their solutions, analyze the benefits and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East. It also provided the opportunity for a listen- in to first-hand experience from industry leaders, connect solutions for overcoming challenges in the field, and enhance the brand and  business portfolio.
