Spandex, the signmaking and digital display supplier, has extended its product portfolio to include a new “shade-shifting” car wrap.

Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect Cast film boasts what the company calls a “unique shade-shifting effect” where the colour changes depending on the viewing angle.

The Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect cast is a multi-layered, high-performance cast PVC film  developed for complete car wraps. It cost under $30.8 per linear meter, said Watson.

Suitable for use on uneven and slightly curved surfaces, it is available in both glossy and matt finishes, comes in 25m and 50m roll lengths and is both repositionable and permanent.

Watson said the product offered excellent dimensional stability and high durability making it ideal for the vehicle wrapping market.

The launch follows the unveiling in spring of a new collection of high-quality ImagePerfect printable substrates for use in magnetic applications.

Three products; IP 2922 Magnetic Film Premium, IP 2923 Magnetic Film Premium Heavy and IP 2924 Ferro Film are targeted at cost-effective POS, signage and display applications.
