The 21st edition of the region’s premier exhibition for large format printing and signage industry, Sign and Graphics Imaging show was hosted on 14th-16th January this year at the Dubai World Trade Center.  About 330 international and regional exhibitors participated in the show.
Participants included Cannon Middle East, Epson, Copatra Graphics, Signtrade, Masonlite, Flex-Europa, Jacky’s, OKI Europe, Wellcare Infotech, Blue Rhine, Emirates Computers among several. Copatra Graphics was the gold sponsor for the 21st edition of the show. Conspicuous by their absence were HP and Giffin Graphics.  
“SGI 2018 was a huge success with nearly 330 international and regional exhibitors showcasing the latest in UV printing, textile printing, retail, LED and various signage technologies. Thousands of visitors graced the show from across the globe including the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. We are glad to state that the exhibitors were able to meet their business objectives of being at the show and hope they can build on this great start to have a profitable rest of the business year”, said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman, International Expo Consultants.
Apart from the exhibition, SGI Dubai played host to various events during its three day course. ‘Wall of Fame’ was the creative artwork competition. Blue Rhine took the winner’s    trophy for Wall of Fame 2018 with its innovative glass based artwork. The other event was  Knowledge Series, which included a panel discussion attended  by prominent industry     professionals and ‘Masters of Wrap’, a car wrapping competition hosted in     partnership with Strings International and Avery Dennison.
Next year SGI will be held between 21st to 23rd January 2019, at the same venue.
