Arbros launched a new grade of photocopy paper with brand name of 'Innovator'. The original paper is from Indonesia and is a exclusive brand given to Arbros. This brand will be distributed to all GCC and African countries. Talking to PrintWeek MEA, Abdullah Rehmani said: "We were looking to launch our own brand of photocopy paper for a long time. We had launched one photocopy brand, Multicopy a few years back which was from Europe. But as many brands from Europe are becoming less workable price wise, we were looking for an alternative. We expect to reach a level of 5 to 6K Mt of volumes per year."

Talking about the current market, he said that the UAE market is slow but GCC market is doing OK. "Paper industry overall has a mixed feeling, as the cost is increasing and there is an uncertainty. Some grades are showing good demand whereas mills are trying to get $20-30 increase which is not viable now.

"In the future, Eastern manufacturers will take more share in the market but for the high grade jobs, European mills will continue but their share may reduce," he said.

Arbros is 16 years old from Jebel Ali and started in Jeddah last year which has 50 plus employees.
