InfoPrint has appointed Benoît Chatelard to the role of senior vice-president and general manager for Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Chatelard, who was most recently general manager of the Asia Pacific region, said he is focused on increasing the company’s UK market share in the high-volume colour market.

He takes the position over from Dermot O’Loughlin, who has retired following a 36-year history with the company, and will report to InfoPrint chief executive Tony Romero.

Chatelard said: “We are focusing our attention on winning significant market share in countries including UK, France, Germany and Italy by dominating the high-volume colour market. Russia also presents a significant growth opportunity for our business.”

He welcomed the opportunity to work with new clients.

The company was established in January 2007, through a joint venture between Ricoh and IBM’s Printing Systems Division. It has 2,500 employees working across several countries and is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado.
