Sappi Europe has announced price increases of 6% for all uncoated grades and 4% for all coated grades, effective 01 April 2018.
The price hikes will apply to all European and overseas markets.
Sappi said the price increases are due to increasing costs for pulp and other raw materials, and that “the measure is necessary to mitigate continuing margin erosion.”
Practical implementation discussions by Sappi’s sales team with individual customers are going on.
Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Sappi Europe SA is one of the leading European producers of coated fine paper used in premium magazines, catalogues, books and high-end print advertising. The company calls it as the leading global provider of sustainable woodfibre products and solutions.
