Watkiss Automation’s new hand-fed bookletmaker, the PowerSquare 160-WH, has been launched to target the A4 landscape market.
Available as of end- July, the new machine is priced at £25,000 and serves as a lower-cost, mid-range alternative to its higher-volume sibling, the 224, for shorter runs. An inline version is also due for all mid-range colour digital printers in the next couple of months.

Screen introduces new series of eight-page platesetters

Screen has launched a new series of eight-page thermal CTP systems.
Commercially available with immediate effect, the PlateRite 8600NII series platesetters are equipped with high-output fibre laser diode exposure heads, which Screen said enable productivity of up to 32 plates per hour as well as energy savings and “superior cost performance”.
