UAE based packaging premedia, prepress, digital printing and creative production services company; NDigitec has joined 10 other manufacturing partners at Global Premedia Network as its Middle East & Gulf Region partner. GPN was created one year ago, to pool synergies and expand reach, while servicing locally. The 11 member-companies collectively have 35 manufacturing facilities in 6 continents.
"Synergy and collaboration between our members are critical to our shared success. With an advanced partner like NDigitec, the GPN's clients will have even more options for rapid local response and the seamless transfer of premedia services in fast-growing markets," noted Kai Lankinen, Marvco's executive partner (Marvco is a leading packaging premedia company and flexo plate supplier in the Nordic region). "We've been searching for a partner in this geographical region and are thrilled that NDigitec is joining us," he added.
In an exclusive interview with PrintWeek MEA, Vatche Kavlakian, CEO of NDigitec explained the benefits of being part of GPN: “We are now part of a network that supports standardization which is what global brand owners or FMCG’s are looking for, while also ensuring that we do not necessarily become more expensive.  So, quality that does not burn your pocket is the GPN motto. This partnership aligns our company vision with GPN's strategy on so many fronts and ultimately will further help our mutual customers to make better procurement decisions and shorten their time to market on a global scale. The world is constantly evolving and so are the needs of international FMCGs, which expect a streamlined packaging cycle, flexible scheduling, and scalable capacity. Today's brand owners are looking for global coordination and local technical support to ensure that their brand specifications are met in the field, everywhere they engage in packaging procurement.”
Admitted into the GPN network after a 6-month process, NDigitec will represent the larger Middle East, which includes Saudi Arabia, (besides UAE), as well as Egypt, GCC and Africa.
Shahe Kavlakian, executive manager at NDigitec added: “We were the first company in the Middle East to be admitted into the network. Currently, we are in discussion with 3 companies (two pharma and one dairy company) for their pre-media requirements for the GCC and Middle East region. Our strength lies in our experience with printing along with the pre-media knowhow, so we can offer clients the best options to maximize their packaging requirements.”
Having moved into their new premises in Dubai Production City in February this year, NDigitec is looking at streamlining operations by consolidating divisions and investing in technology. Shahe Kavlakian explained: “We are excited to announce that we will soon become suppliers of flexo digital plates and consumables (incidentally the first company in the region) through our web platform -  This is a scalable model, which allows us to open branches anywhere in the world, based on demand.  Our existing digital platform saw increased sales during these times of Covid19 and periods of lockdown.”
Admitting to reduced turnover due to the corona effect, Kavlakian was optimistic: “However, things are improving now and certain divisions are picking up. We are looking to participate in events in Saudi Arabia.”
