Business in the Middle East is still brisk for KBA.

This according to a recent statement released by the manufacturer.
According to the company’s recent statement, this year saw the company bagging a number of sales with many of the purchases due to be installed soon.

At certain companies, some machines have already been installed. A Rapida 75 five-colour coater press with extended delivery was one of the machines sold to a local printer, Tellurian in April this year, with a similar press having been shipped to Dar Al-Sharq, Qatar at the start of May.

KBA also signed a contract with Al Watan of Muscat, Oman for the same configuration with shipment due in July.

Sir Speedy will apparently also take delivery of a four-colour B2 press in the summer while Express went for a speed-enhanced (16,500sph) KBA Rapida 105 five-colour coater press with extended delivery, ACR video register and a package for printing board up to 1.2mm thick.

KBA added that it had also booked a number of orders for the region at the start of the year.

One of these was for the Turkish navy’s Cartographical and Oceanological Institute which purchased a four-colour Rapida 130.
