Samsung South Africa releases new MFP. The OEM launched the X7600GX colour printer as an addition to the MX7 A3 series. The new MFP is part of the MultiXpress MX7 series, has a print speed of 60ppm and delivers “consistent, high-volume printing, reliability and quality”, reported ITonline. Consumer demand for counterfeit products in UAE

Consumer demand for counterfeit products, including cartridges, is still “fuelling supply” in the UAE.
The National reported that demand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for fake goods is “still fuelling supply, despite warnings” and a host of raids. Epson increases ink tank range

Bringing further choice to its portfolio of Ink Tank System (ITS) printers, Epson has launched two new models aimed at the small and home office market; the L605 and L1455. Both models add double-sided printing to the ITS range; the L605 is Epson’s first 3-in-1 with the feature, and the L1455 is the first 4-in-1 with A3 double-sided printing, plus A3 scanning.
Double-sided printing can cut paper usage in half and helps to minimise running costs by automatically printing on both sides of a page. 

Mimaki to launch new direct sublimation printer

Mimaki has premiered its new Tx500P-3200DS direct sublimation printer.
Mainly designed for use in the soft signage industries, it is expected to become available for purchase in early 2017. Mimaki general marketing manager EMEA Mike Hor-sten said the price of the machine is not yet confirmed.
The new printer is an advance on the Ts500P-3200, which was launched in February of this year,            but with a number of new developments.

FSC-certified products used at Olympics and Paralympics

Millions of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified products were used at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

All products acquired for the games by the Organising Committee, from structures to stationery, have been FSC-certified.

Agfa completes Anapurna hybrid range

Agfa Graphics is adding to its LED UV-curing family of devices with the Anapurna H3200i LED, set to be officially unveiled next month in the US.

As Xerox inches towards breaking into two standalone listed companies at the end of this year, it has unveiled   the names of the post-split businesses.

    The first ever 3D printing conference cum exhibition ‘3D Print UAE’ took place on 17th and 18th August 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE which attracted a number of like-minded 3D Printing professionals from over 40 nations.

    3D Print UAE exhibition cum conference is a concept aimed at providing a broad scale platform for the manufacturing sector and consumer world across the ME region. 

    3D Print UAE gave an opportunity for the additive manufacturing experts from across the globe to converge on this regional platform to showcase their solutions, analyze the benefits and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East.
