1) What does the machine do It is a flatbed, 2.5 meter wide, UV cured large format printer. We are able to print 3-D on glass, various artworks on canvas, real paintings with this machine. Before we would manually print on glass, which was time consuming and expensive. With this machine we are able to do various jobs faster and at a lesser cost.

2) Why did you choose this particular machine We chose this because of its high technology. UV LED's have a longer life, upto 10-15 years, which is a big advantage. They provide curing without heat and ozone release. The inks are economical,cleaning is easy. With this UV-LED technology we can print on all kinds of substrates like plastic, wood, glass, metal, tile, banner and even on non-thermostable materials like paper, thin films, foam plastic etc.

3) Did you look at other similar machines And which ones We visited various exhibitions to compare all the latest machines, before deciding on this one. No other machine was suitable for our kind of jobwork, which includes 2-D, 3-D printing and embossing effects.

4) Which features do you particularly like The big advantage we feel the machine has, is that it can print on substrates upto 20cm thickness and can handle weight upto 300kg.

5) Is there anything you dislike or wish it had We would like it if it had gold and silver inks as well as ceramic inks for ceramic effect. This would have given us tools and create more applications and effects.

6) How fast is it At draft speed it can print 30 square metres per hour. We are able to get the best quality at 12 to 15 square metres per hour.

7) How reliable is it So far we have not faced any major problems, so far so good.

8) What is the quality like and what kind of response have you had from your clients We are able to produce high end quality, our clients are happy with the new products and applications.

9) How easy is it to use It is not complicated. The distributors have employed a Russian engineer from the manufacturer, Sun Innovation itself, and he will be based in Dubai. This helps us to train our staff, trouble shoot and problem solve easily.

10) How much time or money has it saved We are able to save considerable time in production. For example before, one person could produce 1 square metre in one day manually, with this machine we are able to produce 10 square metres per hour, this is very good savings. In terms of money, we are able to save 80% per job.

11) Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after No, we have not experienced any difficulty.

12) Has it won you any new work With new tools of creativity we are now able to print on glass, wood, marble, alcobond. We are also able to create animal skin effects. These are unique in the market and have increased client interest in our company.

13) Under what circumstances would you buy another We are custom made factory doing turnkey applications, so we will not be buying another machine.
