Other: Packaging group invests in 3-sheetfed presses in one year
Egypt based packaging group First Print has installed three large- and medium-format sheetfed presses within one year. Established in 2008, the company has invested in two large-format KBA Rapida 162a presses, one with five colours, the other with six, alongside a medium-format six-colour Rapida 105.
General director Louai Ali Abdel-Wahid says, "We print medium to long runs for top-flight customers covering the food, household, medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors. Our customer portfolio includes McDonalds, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Cadbury, Disney, Henkel and so; we were not looking for the cheapest, but for the technologically superior solution. KBA is the market leader in large formats, and also offers tailored solutions for medium-format print in terms of quality, performance, makeready times, waste savings and simple handling. On top of that, KBA has a good network of local staff and service technicians available 24/7."
First Print has customers in Middle East, Turkey, Tunisia, Africa and Europe with plans to expand further.
"Our future lies in the further expansion of our large-format capacities. And with KBA, we have a strong and professional partner at our side, with all the know-how and technical support we need, also for special solutions such as metal-coated substrates," concludes Abdel-Wahid.
