Paperworld Middle East 2019 concludes with more than 300 exhibitors

Paperworld Middle East 2019 has come to successful end in Dubai, with 7,287 trade buyers and visitors from across the wider region treated to a whole new world of potential business opportunities.

The 9th edition of the region’s largest international trade fair for stationery, paper, gifts and office supplies, featured 305 exhibitors from 42 countries, with its bold new ‘More than Paper’ theme well received by visitors, which grew steadily in numbers over the previous year (7,179).

The annual showcase took place from 18-20 March 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, with organiser Messe Frankfurt Middle East also announcing the launch of a new show to take place next year that will further underline Paperworld

Indeed yes – In many countries in the Middle East region digital volumes are growing rapidly and this is for many reasons, such as volume per job is more in digital favour, delivery time is crucial, customization & personalization is heavily required, quality and media variety are also in digital favour.

As a distributor how do you contribute to the sustainability initiatives?

We have been promoting technologies that are more sustainable, whether it is HP’s water-based latex ink technology or Canon’s UVgel inks. We moved away from selling solvent-based ink printers close to a decade ago.  This meant that we had to spend a lot of time in educating our customers on the benefits of these alternatives when we stopped selling

Of course we do and we are following this route. Volumes are coming down. Imagine to produce 500 booklets on an industrial saddle stitcher. Setup time would be much too high. Changing from one job to another requires highly automated solutions. This is where Multigraf is heading to.
