Bobst has held an open house at its HQ in Switzerland, showcasing its technologies in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible materials industries. Solutions to issues such as the need for shorter runs, greater versatility, e-commerce were addressed.
Bobst recently entered into digital printing where some companies are established since years. “The reality of digital is that it will grow in printing and Bobst is looking at new ways to conceive digital printing solutions challenging the current models,” said Jean-Pascal Bobst. chief executive, Bobst Group.
“The recent announcements of Bobst for labels, flexible packaging and folding carton digital printing will be game changing platforms and as such challenging the current established business models. Digital is indeed automation within existing conventional processes.”
