Hugo Beck presents automated feeder system for packaging

Manufacturer of flowpack, film packaging, and post-print processing systems Hugo Beck, presented for the first time,  its robot-assisted fully-automated feeder system in combination with film packaging applications to an international audience at Drupa.

It consists of a parallel (or spider) robot and a corresponding packaging machine or line.

Fujifilm announces launch of Acuity LED 3200R inkjet printer

Fujifilm has launched its new 3.2m-wide Acuity LED 3200R inkjet printer in May this year.

The LED UV Acuity 3200R joins the Fujifilm range of Acuity LED printers, which includes the Acuity LED 1600 II UV, launched in 2015, and the Acuity LED 1600, launched in 2012. It will be shown for the first time at Drupa on the Fujifilm stand and will be its only new wide-format product on display.

Hohner upgrades saddle-stitcher, shown to customers at Drupa

German post-press supplier and manufacturer Hohner has announced that it has produced an upgrade and replacement to the HSB 8.000 saddle-stitcher.

Currently in test phase, the HSB 9.000 has a variety of improvements on the 8.000 model and was shown to the public for the first time at Drupa.

Aslan launches matt film

Digital printing film by the German manufacturer of self-adhesive speciality films is as of now also available in a matt version.  Named Aslan Ultra Tack, the polymeric self-adhesive film UltraTack matt ASLAN DFP 08 has an outdoor durability of 7 years.

The film is suitable for  long-term applications on  “hard-to-stick” surfaces including non-polar surfaces such as rough or uneven areas as well as low surface energy materials (example- wall decals or plastic waste bins).

Komori announced details of launches at Drupa 2016

Komori has announced a host of launches for Drupa including a move into post-press kit, a new cloud solution, revamped litho presses and further details of its version of the Landa Nanographic B1 digital press.

Esko introduced its latest 3.2x3.2m cutting table with a new semi-automatic feeder for the first time at Fespa.

“It allows for semi-unattended operation,” explained Esko director of digital finishing Stuart Fox. “Printers are often producing 3.2mx1.6m sheets. This loads a sheet, cuts it, and the conveyor then advances it so the operator can start dealing with that piece while it cuts the next sheet.”

The list price for the feeder is $62,507, while the cutting table costs up to $250,030

Mutoh completes ValueJet X series with new models

Wide-format machinery manufacturer Mutoh has launched two new additions to its ValueJet X series.  The new single-head 1.37m-wide ValueJet 1324X and the dual-head 2.6m-wide ValueJet 2638X models have replaced the VJ-1324 and VJ-2648 printers and are available with immediate effect through Mutoh’s reseller network.

The machines, which are engineered and manufactured in Japan, join the 1.62m-wide ValueJet 1624X single-head and ValueJet 1638X dual-head models in the ValueJet X series.

Duplo launches iSaddle Pro stitching line

Duplo UK has launched the iSaddle Pro Digital System, which is targeted at commercial printers with high print volumes.

Roland DG has launched a new high-volume wide-format inkjet, the Soljet EJ-640.

Seiko I Infotech (SIIT) has released a new eight-colour wide-format printer aimed at the signage and indoor graphics markets.

The ColorPainter H3-104s, launched yesterday, uses SIIT’s low-odour SX eco-solvent inks that were previously used in the ColorPainter M-64 range, launched at Fespa 2013.

Heidelberg’s Diana Smart series of carton folder-gluers have been expanded to feature new options, as well as a new 1,150mm format model.
