Heidelberg to reveal B1 press CX102 with speed of 16,500 sph

Heidelberg is to use Ipex as the worldwide springboard for a new B1 press, the 16,500 sheets-per-hour Speedmaster CX 102.

"We've taken everything that is great about the CD 102, ink train, sheet travel etc, but in order to make it a new high-speed platform, we've added a lot of the XL technology as well as new sideframes to offer proven CD 102 quality, but at higher speeds," said Heidelberg B1 product manager Gernot Keller.

Konica Minolta will launch a new flagship model for its Bizhub Press range at Ipex, the C8000 high-speed colour digital press.

The digital press, which can output up to 80 colour prints a minute, will be previewed at the event and is set to become commercially available "later in 2010".

According to Konica Minolta, the Bizhub Press C8000 can print at a resolution of up to 1200dpi using the manufacturer's new Simitri HD toner, which it claims can produce ultra fine quality prints.

HP has said that environmentally unfriendly solvent inks are "going to die" as it prepares for Fespa 2010 with "a lot of latex".

H'berg hints at non-digital new release as Ipex line-up revealed

Lean and green printing will be the focus of Heidelberg's offering at Ipex in May.

So far, the German manufacturer has only revealed one entirely new product for the show, a flagship perfect binder, the Eurobind Pro.

Kodak's maiden Stream-based colour press to get show launch

Kodak will launch its Prosper 5000XL, the first colour press based on its Stream technology, at Ipex in May, and has confirmed that the first European installation will be Italian printer Rotomail.

Press manufacturer Man-roland will not bring any presses to this year's Ipex as it plans to focus on applications, rather than products.

It will be offering visits to local print facilities if potential customers want to view machines, but, according to Manroland GB managing director Norman Revill, the company is more interested in discussing how it can help printers than showing them how fast a press can run.

    The first ever 3D printing conference cum exhibition ‘3D Print UAE’ took place on 17th and 18th August 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE which attracted a number of like-minded 3D Printing professionals from over 40 nations.

    3D Print UAE exhibition cum conference is a concept aimed at providing a broad scale platform for the manufacturing sector and consumer world across the ME region. 

    3D Print UAE gave an opportunity for the additive manufacturing experts from across the globe to converge on this regional platform to showcase their solutions, analyze the benefits and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East. It also provided the opportunity for a listen- in to first-hand experience from industry leaders, connect solutions for overcoming challenges in the field, and enhance the brand and  business portfolio.
