Other: Esko agrees to EFI and HP workflow deal
EskoArtwork has signed partnership deals with both EFI and HP to integrate its workflow into the printer vendors' product portfolios.
Both will co-market the firm's i-cut Suite software, which was launched at Fespa 2010, alongside their machines.
"As the industry evolves, printing and workflow technology must become faster, less costly and more efficient," said EskoArtwork sign & display business development manager Bryan Stringer. "It's crucial suppliers are able to offer an end-to-end automated solution."
Meanwhile, HP has beefed up its wide-format workflow offerings by extending its strategic relationship with EskoArtwork and heading up the wide-format workgroup of CIP4. This will develop and define wide-format features and standards for JDF – the job definition format.
"We are honoured to lead industry-wide efforts to define open JDF standard for the large-format market," said HP Scitex general manager Yariv Avisar.
In addition, the group has established its own certification programme for its workflow software partners.
